Uber London Limited have today had their appeal upheld against the Transport for London (TfL) decision to refuse to renew their operator's licence.
Prior to today’s magistrates court decision TfL have stated they: “Do not have confidence that Uber (London Limited) has a robust system for protecting passenger safety."
Previously our Chairman Steve Wright MBE questioned why Uber were allowed to continue operating and said: "I believe this makes a complete mockery of PHV Operator licensing."
Once again the LPHCA is flabbergasted by the court decision following further Uber transgressions whilst on probation. The failings were of such scale that Mr Wright questions how anything less can be subject to regulatory action going forward.
