Thank you to all exhibitors, attendees, speakers, panel members, and special guests, who attended the LPHCA AGM & Roadshow 2025 on 18th September at the London Heathrow Marriott Hotel.

This year there was an even greater array of exhibitors and commercial suppliers including top taxi and private hire industry product suppliers and industry experts, and many licensing authorities and industry trade bodies were also there on the day.

There was the usual mix of presentations, industry panels and keynote speakers throughout the day, covering a host of key issues facing Members and Commercial Partners.

Morning Sessions
  • Improving Medical Requirements: Dr Grant Charlesworth-Jones of D4Drivers explained all, including how to make them safer, easier to book and cheaper
  • The Negative Impact of Drop-Off Fees, Tolls and Charges: how these are affecting everyone and the impact on the PHV industry, by Clive Wratten, BTA
  • Issues Facing the Industry: an industry panel giving their views and answering questions on Difficulties Getting Larger and WA PHVs Licensed, Driver Licensing Delays, DBS Checks, Driving License Requirements, and whether CCTV Should Be Mandatory
  • New Industry Tax Requirements: a brief update on the current state-of-play regarding tax requirements for the industry by HMRC and Gary Jacobs of Eazitax
AFTERNOON SESSIONS
  • Industry Counter-Terrorism Policing: what to look out for and how to help the PHV industry, presented by Mark Haddon of the Met Police
  • Licensing Out of Area: the second panel session of the day, where they discussed the reasons and the myths of licensing out of area
  • Signage on PHVs: our final panel of the day, which concluded the day with a lively session sharing thoughts and asking questions on signage
