The LPHCA has mentioned to government that many small PHV businesses fall outside of the government’s grant scheme. This is because grant money is predominately accessed via business rate criteria and many businesses fall outside of the Small Business Rates Relief (SBRR) or Rural Relief.

One of our members has kindly forwarded us a government petition that is fast gaining traction. If successful, this would ensure that those PHV operators who currently do not qualify can apply for grants.

As many of our members and the wider industry work from home or have rate inclusive arrangements with landlords they cannot get access to grants.The petition could be key to securing life-changing grants for many of our members, as well as many others.
