The Licensed Private Hire Car Association (LPHCA) are a Trade Association that represents licensed private hire operators and have set up a ‘Fighting Fund’ to raise money towards vital political and legal work, alongside various other work for the campaigns we are undertaking.
We have received donations from different areas of the private hire industry including operators and drivers, as well as industry suppliers. We are calling on the entire private hire industry to unite against measures that could leave much of our industry, and the people connected to it, in jeopardy if implemented.
Some of our current campaigns are geared around the following challenges:
- Massive operator licence fees
- Inappropriate English tests
- Congestion charging PHVs
- Calls to cap PHV numbers
- Mandating CCTV
- A to B working
- Possible expensive medicals
- Retrospective extra driving tests
