iCabbi and Love Local Taxi and Private Hire Campaign

iCabbi, one of the LPHCA's long-term Commercial Partners, has set up the Love Local Taxi & Private Hire campaign to drive awareness of the value of local cab companies to their communities, and is asking the British public to support their local fleets by thinking taxi and private hire first when they need a ride.

The launch of The iCabbi Exchange enables local companies to allow their customers to use their local branded app anywhere in the UK. For example, Mi Taxis operates in the Nuneaton area, but their customers can now use the Mi app to book a cab in London or Glasgow, or Leeds. The roaming functionality enables Mi customers to support Mi Taxis and other local firms, whether they are at home or away.

The Love Local Taxi and Private Hire campaign promotes the deep-rooted commitment of local fleets to their communities. Using their services over global apps keeps one in the local economy. It supports companies that, in turn, support the community - sponsoring local clubs, helping people in need and going the extra mile in emergencies.

iCabbi have created web page lovelocaltaxi.com to educate the general public on why they should support their local cab company, and fleets can share this page and the video directly with their customer base.

Shaun Williamson, also known as Barry from East Enders and from now onwards as Taxi Barry, has adopted the role of the industry mascot. Taxi Barry is helping to spread the news that local taxi apps are now nationwide and generally promote the taxi and private hire trade to the British public.

iCabbi is inviting all taxi, private hire and minicab companies to participate; please email marketing@icabbi.com to request a free marketing pack
